SHELBY
Purple Seahorse • Created by Bren Amos
This magnificent seahorse is a unique masterpiece, the only one of its kind in the world. Standing tall at 46 inches and measuring 18 inches wide, it embodies artistry and nature.
Crafted from horse mussel shells gathered from a small island in the Atlantic, white abalone shells from Africa, and oyster shells from the Carolinas, each element tells a story.
Shelby’s handcrafted snout and oversized lips, painted with resin for a glossy finish, radiate beauty. The resined horse mussel shells showcase stunning purple and lavender hues, celebrating the wonders of the sea. Her tail and mane, made of copper wire, symbolize resilience as they age like fine wine. Adorned with beautiful beads and crystals I've collected over the years, Shelby's halter and reins reflect a journey of inspiration. Those magical eyes invite wonder and curiosity.
Fun fact: Male seahorses carry and give birth, reminding us of the extraordinary roles found in nature.
